29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top or step of a stepladder was used as a step:   a)  At 331 East 1st Ave. Gulf Shores, Alabama:  On or about February 27, 2017 and at time prior; the employer allowed his employees to stand on the top step of a six foot a-frame ladder to get on and off the roof exposing them to a fall hazard of 6 feet to the deck below.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a)  At 331 East 1st Ave. Gulf Shores, Alabama:  On or about February 27, 2017 and at time prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform roofing activities on a high slope roof without using fall protection exposing them to a fall hazard of up to 40 feet to the ground below.   THE JUAN RUIZ DBA RUIZ ROOFING WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1037607 CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON MARCH 17, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 101 SAND DUNE DR., GULF SHORES, ALABAMA AND IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1082165 CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 31, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 24390 US HWY 98, DAPHNE, ALABAMA.
