29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Sun Trust Battery (Block - D), Second and third floor rear balconies: On or about 03/02/2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of 12-feet and 23-feet from the balconies being used as a walking/working surface, in that employees were not provided a fall protection system while engaged in stucco activities.
