29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function:   a) Employees performed break-up of the concrete sidewalk under NJ Turnpike Authority structure 91.15, along Southbound Route 9 in Woodbridge NJ.  Employee(s) wore tight-fitting air-purifying respirators (APR) with HEPA filters for protection from silica dust, but had a full beard which interfered with the face-to-facepiece seal.   Condition(s) were noted on or about 3/08/2017.
