29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by Subpart S of Part 1910, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the means identified in paragraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) of 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): (a) On or about March 8, 2017, and at times prior, Reflections in Metal, LLC. did not ensure that live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any means identified by this standard. 1. In the main shop a panel operating at 220V had the front section of the enclosure removed leaving live parts unguarded against accidental contact. Employees were exposed to contact with electrical hazards. 2. In the inventory room a panel operating at 220V had the front section of the enclosure removed leaving live parts unguarded against accidental contact. Employees were exposed to contact with electrical hazards. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
