29 CFR 1910.145(f)(3): Tags were not used as a means to prevent accidental injury or illness to employees who were exposed to hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions, equipment or operations which were out of the ordinary, unexpected or not readily apparent: (a) Building 2 - Oleo area Signs or tags were not used as a means to prevent burns to employees exposed to the accidental release of steam at a station which required the employees to observe the position of three separate valves before operating steam. On 3/10/17, an employee using steam to clean a filter press pump in Oleo area, was burned when steam was release from an adjacent steam line connected to the same main valve. b) Building 2 - Vanilla Roasting area Signs or tags were not used as a means to prevent burns to employees exposed to the accidental release of steam at a station which required the employees to observe the position of multiple separate valves before operating steam. c) Building 2 - Wash area Signs or tags were not used as a means to prevent burns to employees exposed to the accidental release of steam at a station which required the employees to observe the position of multiple separate valves before operating steam. Condition observed on or about 3/10/2017
