29 CFR 1910.1026(d)(1): The employer with a workplace or work operation covered by this standard did not determine the 8-hour time-weighted average exposure for each employee exposed to chromium (VI): a) In the Weld Shop, on or about March 31, 2017 - The employer failed to determine the 8-hour time-weighted average exposure to hexavalent chromium for TIG welding stainless steel. Subsequent sampling performed by an OSHA compliance officer on May 3, 2017, determined that a welder TIG welding stainless steel was exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average exposure of 0.1 micrograms of hexavalent chromium per cubic meter of air. Sampling was conducted for 364 minutes and zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled portion of the shift.
