29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employees must be able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge. A device such as a panic bar that locks only from the outside is permitted on exit discharge doors: (a) Crew Building, Main Door: Employees are exposed to becoming entrapped in the event of a fire due to the Main Door designated as an emergency exit had a dead bolt lock on the door leading to exit discharge. (b) Crew Building, Rear Door: Employees are exposed to becoming entrapped in the event of a fire due to the Rear Door designated as an emergency exit had a dead bolt lock on the door leading to exit discharge. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 913208, CITATION 01, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON NOVEMBER 12, 2013, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, ASH MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, 47050 GENERALS HIGHWAY, THREE RIVERS, CALIFORNIA 93271.
