On or about April 1, 2017, while performing tree removal operations, the crane operator tipped over the crane into a residential structure by extending the boom past a 80 degree boom perpendicular angle, exposing employees to a crushing hazards.

29 CFR 1910.180(h)(3)(iv): The side loading of booms shall be limited to freely suspended loads, in that cranes shall not be used for dragging loads sideways. a. On or about April 1, 2017, while performing tree removal operations, the crane operator side loaded the boom of the crane by applying hoist line pressure as a log cutter cut the log free allowing to swing free from the trunk, exposing employees to a crushing hazards.
