OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees are exposed to the hazard of skin contacting hot water during the process of discharging water from the Fenco Machine. a) Hot Side, Fenco Machine - on or about April 1, 2017, employees performing maintenance on the Fenco machine, discharging water from the drain valve, were not wearing the necessary personal protective equipment to prevent injury in the event of an inadvertent contact with hot water. No abatement certification or documentation required.
