29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a- 145 Cliffwood Avenue, Aberdeen NJ: An employee, not using fall protection, was exposed to fall hazards in excess of 13 feet to the ground surface below when performing sheathing installation and other related activities while working from the exterior surface of an unfinished window opening.   This employee, along with the other worksite employees, had not received fall hazard recognition training or complete fall protection training, as required by the standard, from the company prior to or at the time of the worksite inspection.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(5)(i): Non-self-supporting ladders were not used at an angle such than the horizontal distance from the top support to the foot of the ladder way approximately one-quarter of the working length of the ladder (the distance along the ladder between the foot and the top support):  a- Building N, 145 Cliffwood Avenue, Aberdeen NJ: On or about 04/05/17 worksite company employees were exposed to fall hazards when utilizing an aluminum extension ladder whose rise to run ratio was not 4 to 1 and, as such, was not having an angle of approximately 75 degrees from the horizontal .  Condition observed on or about 04/05/17.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

These employees had not received ladder hazard recognition training at the time of or prior to the worksite inspection.  Condition noted on or about 04/05/17.
