NOTE TO PARAGRAPH (b) OF THIS SECTION: When work is performed on or near electrical circuits, the requirements of �1910.333(c) apply. (a) On 3/31/17 an employee was carrying a pry bar while ascending a ladder to dislodge a garage door that had become lodged on a broken bracket exposing him to a fall hazard of approximately 8 feet.

29 CFR 1910.23(c)(7)(i): Ensure ladders placed in locations such as passageways, doorways, or driveways where they can be displaced by other activities or traffic are secured to prevent accidental displacement: (a) On 3/31/17 an employee was using a Werner 24' extension ladder to dislodge a garage bay door with a pry bar that had become lodged on a broken bracket. During this process the ladder became displaced and slid out from under the employee, this resulted in the employee falling with the ladder down to the concrete floor from a height of approximately 8 feet.
