29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems: Location: Corner of Atkinson and Nelson Street On or about 4/13/17 employees performing trenching work at a depth of approximately 6.5 feet were exposed to cave-in hazards and the employer did not initiate and maintain daily inspections of the excavation by a competent person.
