29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On April 17, 2017, employees performing residential carpentry work from the second floor of a new single family home, fourteen (14) feet nine (9) inches, above the ground were not protected from falling. b) On April 17, 2017, employees performing residential carpentry work on the first floor of a new single family home were exposed to fall hazards of approximately nine (9) feet while traveling through the first floor near the unprotected wall opening and floor hole between the basement and first floor of the building. Woodmark, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 948678, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 23, 2014 , with respect to a workplace located at Fields of Shorewood, 1007 Trillium Lane, Shorewood, IL 60404.
