29 CFR 1910.1450(e)(1): Where hazardous chemicals were used in the workplace, the employer did not develop and carry out the provisions of a written Chemical Hygiene Plan which was capable of protecting employees from health hazards associated with hazardous chemicals: Employees working with laboratory chemicals in the water testing lab were exposed to chemical burns in that the required chemical hygiene plan was not developed and implemented.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i): The employer did not compile a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that was referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet. Employees working with calcium hypochlorite, acidine, and various other chemicals in the water treatment facility were exposed to chemical burns in that the required list of hazardous chemicals known to be present at the workplace was not compiled and available. The U.S. National Park Service, Mojave National Preserve was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1085942, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/30/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1 Black Canyon Road, Barstow, CA 92332.
