29 CFR 1910.219(h)(1): Projecting keys, setscrews, or other projections in revolving parts were not removed, made flush, or guarded by metal covers: At the time of the inspection. the bolt used to secure the bearing to the shaft on the line 1 breader machine #00245 protruded and created a caught in hazard for employees working on line 1.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the time of the inspection, the screw auger on Line 3A batter fill hopper was not adequately guarded. There were openings of over 4 inches by 4 inches in a guard placed about 4 inches above the rotating screw auger. The AJINOMOTO was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1114133, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8-2-2016, with respect to a workplace located at #2 Industrial Drive, Piedmont, Missouri.
