29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    a) Construction by Torres, Inc. at 317 Exempla Circle, Lafayette, CO 80026: On or about 4/6/2017, the employer failed to protect each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees were exposed to falling approximately 20 ft. while performing decking operations less than 6 ft. from an unguarded edge.      Construction by Torres, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(15), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 958218, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/13/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 2300 46th Ave. SE, Mandan, ND 58554.    Construction by Torres, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1120338, citation number 02, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/10/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 6638 Nome St., Centennial, CO 80111.
