29 CFR 1910.141(d)(3)(i): Whenever showers are required by a particular standard, the showers shall be provided in accordance with paragraphs (d)(3)(ii) through (v) of this section. At the jobsite located at 100-118 West Armour Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to hazardous chemicals associated with asbestos removal. Employees engaged in asbestos removal were not provided the adequate means for proper decontamination when a shower was not provided. There was a Hudson pump sprayer provided for employees to wash their hands and face; no soap, no hot water, and no individual towels were provided. The employer has access to running water and was unable to demonstrate the infeasibility of providing the employees with a shower and the required materials needed to clean up after asbestos exposure.
