The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefor, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle.  a) Custom Utility Concrete Vault Fabrication: 5200 Transport Blvd Columbus, GA 31907. On or about May 4, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards when cutting metal pipes with an abrasive cutting machine (DeWalt Model DW871 Serial number 486412) that had an inoperative guard.

29 CFR 1910.253(b)(2)(ii): Inside of buildings, cylinders shall be stored in a well-protected, well-ventilated, dry location, at least 20 (6.1 m) feet from highly combustible materials such as oil or excelsior. Cylinders should be stored in definitely assigned places away from elevators, stairs, or gangways. Assigned storage spaces shall be located where cylinders will not be knocked over or damaged by passing or falling objects, or subject to tampering by unauthorized persons. Cylinders shall not be kept in unventilated enclosures such as lockers and cupboards.  a) East Wall, Weld Shop: On or about May 4, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that an Argon cylinder was not properly secured.
