29 CFR 1910.28(b)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure employees in a hoist area were protected from falling 4 feet or more to a lower level by a standard guardrail system, a personal fall arrest system, or a travel restraint system. On or about May 8, 2017, employees were exposed to fall hazards up to 18.8 feet while positioning a parts basket at the edge of the mezzanine hoist area without a standard guardrail system, a personal fall arrest system, or a travel restraint system in place. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
