29 CFR 1910.212(a): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    a) Machine shop      The rotating metal rod used to manufacture solder rings on the Sheldon Machine Co. lathe, serial number EXL-24507, was not guarded to prevent employee from contacting point of operation.  On 5/16/17, an employee suffered an avulsion to two fingers on his right hand when his glove was caught on solder rings while operating lathe without guard.    Condition occurred on or about 5/16/2017
