29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: This violation was observed on or about May 18, 2017, the Buffalo bench grinder, model B-10, for both the aluminum oxide grinding wheel (grey) and the silicon carbide grinding wheel (green), between the tongue guard and the grinding wheel was a gap exceeding one fourth inch exposing employees to the hazards of being struck by a shattered grinding wheel.
