29 CFR 1926.20(b)(1) The employer did not initiate and maintain safety and health programs necessary to comply with this part. a) On or about May 24, 2017 or prior thereto: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of 17 feet while engaged in sheeting work. Employees were not instructed to avoid fall hazards by utilizing fall protection systems and/or guardrails. Employees were working on a low sloped roof under construction and exposed to unsheeted trusses and the edge of the building. The employer did not initiate an effective safety and health program in conjunction with the subcontractor, EJ Carpentry, to protect employees from fall hazards on the site. NOTE: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item.
