29 CFR 1910.147(d): The established procedure for the application of energy control (the lockout or tagout procedures) did not cover the actions listed in and was not done in sequence as required by 29 CFR 1910.147(d)(1)-(6): (a) Maintenance Department - The Delta ShopMaster drill press was undergoing maintenance and/or servicing without being locked and/or tagged out. On or about May 10, 2017, an employee removed the drive belt from the drill press to repair another drill press in the facility. The electrical plug was not removed from the electrical power source during the belt removal process and the machine was not locked and/or tagged out. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
