OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that employees were exposed to fire hazards from kitchen equipment (steam table). Location: 1. Food Truck at 1 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA. 2. Food Truck at 148 Hampden Street, Boston, MA On or about May 10 and May 16, 2017, employees were exposed to flash fire and burn hazards in the mobile food truck, during operating of kitchen appliances (steam table). Employees turned on pilot light under the steam table with only adjustment valves. There were no automatic device designed to shut off on the propane system.

OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees due to the delayed medical treatment for serious burn injury beyond first aid. Location: Food Truck at 1 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA. On or about May 10, 2017, employee was exposed to fire hazards and received second degree burns, during operating of kitchen equipment (steam table). No ambulance was called, thus delaying the employee from receiving prompt medical treatment.
