Scaffolds used in general industry must meet the requirements in 29 CFR part 1926, subpart L (Scaffolds). a) On or about May 22, 2017 at 530 Sensation Weigh: an employee was not protected from an 11 feet fall while working near the open end of a Genie Scissor Lift platform used for yacht repairing and building. b) On or about May 25, 2017 at 530 Sensation Weigh: an employee was not protected from an 11 feet fall while working near the open end of a JLG Aerial lift platform used for yacht repairing and building. Or, in the Alternative: 1915.73(d): When employees are exposed to unguarded edges of decks, platforms, flats, and similar flat surfaces, more than 5 feet above a solid surface, the edges shall be guarded by adequate guardrails meeting the requirements of 1915.71(j)(1) and (2), unless the nature of the work in progress or the physical conditions prohibit the use or installation of such guardrails.

29 CFR 1910.30(a)(3)(ii): The employer did not have each employee who was involved in erecting, disassembling, moving, operating, repairing, maintaining, or inspecting a scaffold trained by a competent person to recognize any hazards associated with the work in question: a) On or about 05/22/2017 at 530 Sensation Weigh: an employee was working on a Genie Scissor Lift platform greater than 11 feet without training to recognize, minimize and correct hazards. b) On or about 05/25/2017 at 530 Sensation Weigh: an employee was working on a JLG Aerial Lft platform greater than 11 feet without training to recognize, minimize and correct hazards.
