29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about May 26, 2017, the employer failed to provide adequate guarding to protect employees from the hazard of rotating parts and ingoing nip points on machines including but not limited to the paper wrap machine line#14 and line #8 (Jumbo Steel Machinery Co., LTD, Serial #4187 and 4188). Employees are exposed at the point where the straws are transported by a conveyor to the hopper/shooter, at the hand crank and the motor drive wheel.
