29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Located along various sheeted floor deck areas of the residential structure employees were observed performing overhanging OSB sheeting circular saw cut off related framing activities adjacent to perimeter exterior and interior areas of the floor deck unprotected sides or edges and interior field pneumatic deck nailing adjacent to an unprotected sides or edges of the floor deck and exposed to fall potentials of 12 foot 10 inches along the right side of structure and 11 foot 4 inches to the garage floor area without conventional fall protection.
