29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes: a) Bonding Department, on or about August 29, 2017 - Employees were exposed to chemical solvents such as but not limited to: SC-125, a flammable, which contained dichloromethane (methylene chloride 99%); PS 18A, a corrosive; and PS 18B, an organic peroxide, which contained dibenzoyl peroxide. Employees were provided latex gloves which are not chemical resistant to hazardous solvents handled on a daily basis.

Bottles of 3M Finesse It and rubbing compound which contained hazardous chemicals such as petroleum distillates, naptha, and aluminum oxide. b) Trim Department, On or about May 17, 2017 - A small metal container which contained SC-125 was not labeled with appropriate labels. SC-125, an adhesive contained dichloromethane (methylene chloride 99%).
