OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by falling loads: a) South wall: On or about May 24, 2017 and at times prior, employees were exposed to struck by hazards while using an unrated MATCO Torin Jack to remove and replace automotive engines. The employer failed to ensure a thorough visual inspection was conducted to identify items such as; load rating, manufacturers name and address, serial number, and structural defects with the below the hook lifting device.
