29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Another Level Construction and Restoration, LLC project site located at 3664 S. Taylor Dr. Sheboygan, WI: On and about May 31, 2017, employees reroofing a three story, steep pitch hotel building were exposed to falls greater than 25 feet when: A) Employees were working on the roof they were not connected to the lifelines to complete the personal fall arrest protection system; B) Employees were traversing across the roof from the access point to the work area without fall protection.
