29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. a) On or about 6/1/17, JIT Chemical Corporation, located at 530 Manufactures Rd in Chattanooga, TN did not ensure that the emergency eyewash - shower unit, located on the dock, was ready for emergency use by conducting and recording weekly inspections as outlined in ANSI Z358.1. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
