29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note: As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. (a) Western Slope Framing & Timber Work Inc. at 821 Dougherty Road, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487: On or before 06/01/17, the employer did not insure that proper fall protection was used when operating in an aerial lift. The employee was performing siding work approximately 25 feet in the air using a Genie S-45 rough terrain forklift, and did not have a lanyard attached to the boom or basket. This condition exposed the employee to fall hazards of approximately 25 feet.
