29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system. (a) Walker Roiver Construction, Inc. at 1000 Hwy 36, Moraine Park Campground, Estes Park, CO 80517: On and before June 6, 2017 , the exposing employer did not ensure that employees performing work in an excavation were protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system. Employees accessed a trench 6'4" deep to clean out the base without a trench box, shoring, or adequate sloping. Condition exposed employees to entrapment and other hazards associated with cave-ins.
