29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Employees were exposed to fall hazards when a personal fall arrest system was not provided to employees working above 6 feet in residential construction. This was most recently documented at 2821 NE State Rd 92, Smithville, MO 64089. Employees were removing existing shingles from a roof of a two story house. Employees were working over the leading edge of the house approximately 8 feet in the front of the house and 21 feet at the back of the house without the use of any form of fall protection.
