29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: a) On June 12, 2017, employees using pneumatic nail guns were not wearing safety glasses, thereby exposing the employees to hazards associated with eye injury. Aegis Construction Group Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1227614, citation 2, item 1, and was affirmed final order on June 6, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 3802 N. Molleck Dr., Peoria, IL 61615. Aegis Construction Group Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1203711, citation 1, item 1b, and was affirmed final order on February 27, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 2018 W. Kellogg Ave., West Peoria, IL 61604. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
