OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to struck-by, roll-over, entrapment, and crushing hazards caused by mechanical failure of the vehicles' braking systems. On or about June 13, 2017, at approximately 1 mile from 85 Hunter Drive, on Long Branch Road, Talking Rock, Georgia: Employees performing paving work operated vehicles with faulty service brakes systems which caused one employee to be fatally injured when the service brakes failed. The employer failed to ensure that that service brakes were in operating condition.
