29 CFR 1926.51(f)(1): The employer did not provide adequate washing facilities for employees engaged in the application of paints, coatings, herbicides, or insecticides, or in other operations where contaminants may be harmful to the employees. Such facilities were not in near proximity to the worksite and was not equipped as to enable employees to remove such substances: (a) Adequate washing facilities were not provided for employees who were engaged in mixing, transporting, and applying mortar while performing masonry work (i.e., laying block/brick/stone) at the job site. Potable water was available through water hoses used at the site, but soap and hand towels were not provided. This condition would hinder employees in removing mortar from exposed skin surfaces. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED
