One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc: In the middle of the welding shop: On or about June 21, 2017, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to the hazards of being struck by flying projectiles and rotating parts when operating a Craftsman Laser Trac 15 inch Drill press (Model #: 137.229250) without a chip guard.
