29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not ensure that Safety Data Sheets were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s): (a) Complete Energy Services Inc, dba Northern Plains Trucking, at Weld County Road 13 and Weld County Road 32, Sekich tank battery, Mead, CO: On and preceding 6/21/17, the employer did not ensure that Safety Data Sheets were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work areas. Employees drove tanker trucks and transferred fluids from tanks to tanker trucks at crude oil tank batteries. Fluids included condensate, produced water, crude oil, and mixtures of those fluids. The employer provided employee access to Safety Data Sheets (SDS's) through an electronic tablet carried in the truck, where the SDS's had been downloaded as files onto the tablets. The employer did not provide an alternative means to access SDS's. This condition potentially exposed employees to a chemical hazard.
