29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc. WORKSHOP: The two(2) augers of the ice bin/bagger, unknown identification were unguarded.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(i): Flexible cords and cables shall be approved for conditions of use and location. WORKSHOP: The flexible cords/extension cords were looped around and went over metal conduit and water piping as follows: 1. Red/orange extension cord attached to the 110V pump was looped around and tied onto the ice bin to another loop over a water pipe to the outlet. 2. Black flexible cord from the ice bin was looped from the water pipe to the black extension cord to the plug into the storage room tacked over the door in the storage room to a utility room outlet. 3. Orange flexible cord was tied and looped, over the flexible cord from the extension cord to unused plastic pipes, to active metal electrical conduit to a light.
