29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) Boiler Busters, at 901 W. 14th St., Denver, CO 80204: On and before June 27, 2017, the exposing employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge 6 feet or more above a lower level was protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees were working on the roof of a 9 story apartment complex removing old HVAC equipment without adequate fall protective measures in place. Condition exposed employees to fall hazards of 9 stories, or approximately 100 feet.
