Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ - Deck area    Employees engaged in carpentry activities were not protected from head injury by use of hard hats.  Employees cleaning up decking materials were working directly below employees using hand held power tools and removing decking debris with wearing head protection. Main St., Philipsburg, NJ - Deck    The employer did not ensure that scaffold and scaffold components were inspected by a competent person prior to use by employees.  Employees building a commercial wood deck worked from a scaffold that was not fully decked, had intermixed components from different manufactures, and did not have the proper guardrails installed.     Violation observed on or about June 27, 2017
