ABATEMENT NOTE: The procedure must contain information which authorized employees must know to safely control hazardous energy. Overgeneralization can result in a document, which has little or no utility to the employee(s) who must follow the procedure. The employer must ensure the effective use of hazardous energy control procedures for a multiple employee per the guidance of 29 CFR 1910.147(f)(3).
