The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated. a) 90 Doe Run Road, Manheim PA - An employee was observed being transported in the basket of a JLG aerial lift to the roof of the building located approximately 14 feet above the ground and was not protected from falling, on or about June 30, 2017. No abatement certification or documentation required.

29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards: a) 90 Doe Run Road, Manheim PA - Employees were not trained in appropriate fall protection methods to avoid hazards associated with working from a JLG aerial lift, on or about June 30, 2017. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
