29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(xv): Crossbracing used in place of a midrail was unacceptable because the crossing point of two braces was not between 20 inches (0.5 m) and 30 inches ((0.8 M) above the work platform or as a toprail crossing point of two braces were not between 38 inches (0.97 m) and 48 inches (1.3 m) above the work platform: a) 90 Doe Run Road, Manheim PA - Employees were exposed to an approximate 13 feet - 10 inch fall hazard while working from a tubular welded frame scaffold where the crossbracing used as a top rail measured 29 inches above the work platform, on or about June 30, 2017. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
