29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. At the tennis court retaining wall of the outdoor recreation project, Chumash Indian Village: Employees worked adjacent to unguarded #5 rebar while installing rebar mesh and piano wire during the preparation for the shoring wall. Employees were exposed to impalement hazards.
