29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a) Free Standing Archway in The Front of The Structure - Two workers were standing on the peak of the structure dismantling the archway piece by piece by hand. Neither worker was protected from falling approximately 15 feet to the concrete slab below, on or about 06/27/2017.    GC Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 979089, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/02/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 644 H Street NE Washington, DC 20010.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
