29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):  Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge  which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards. This was most recently documented at a worksite located at or near 3730 205th St., Elkhorn, NE 68022 on or about June 27, 2017. The employer is failing to ensure that adequate fall protection was utilized by Employees were working on the second floor of a new house under construction and near the edges approximately 13 feet above the ground without any protection from falls.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):  The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:    The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards. This was most recently documented at a worksite located at or near 3730 205th St., Elkhorn, NE 68022 on or about June 27, 2017.  The employer did not ensure that employees were trained to recognize fall hazards.  The employer did not ensure that employees knew to use adequate fall protection when they were performing residential framing work.                                                    Abatement certification is required for this violation.  Abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citation.
