29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i)(D): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by this standard, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by elevation of 2.44 m (8.0 ft) or more above the floor or other working surface: In the operating room, live electrical wires were observed running along the drop ceiling and powering the fluorescent lighting. The electrical lines, less than 8-feet from the floor, were exposed due to missing ceiling tiles and were not guarded by accidental contact.
