29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: (a) On or about July 7, 2017, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that rebar protruding from the ground at a height of approximately 3 feet was capped to ensure that employees working on the ground level and on a scaffold next to it could not be impaled. Abatement note: Abatement certification is required for this item (See Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
